AVAILABLE IN 750ML BOTTLES
This is the flagship Barolo from Ciabot Berton made using the best of traditional methods. It was aged in very large old oak barrels. The flavours are all about superb Nebbiolo fruit - tar, roses, spice, fennel, dark fruits.
The 2004 is the longest living vintage and this wine was a little tough upon release. Now (in 2012), the tannins have softened to reveal great depth of flavour and complexity.
Serve in a large Pinot glass and ideally decant for an hour prior to drinking. It is now regarded by the Oberto family as possibly the best wine he has ever made.
