INTRODUCING GLOBAL FINE WINES
Global Fine Wines was established in 2003 as a premium wine importer and distributor. Today we represent the produce from internationally acclaimed winemakers such as Bill Pannell (Australia), Tommaso Bussola (Italy), and Gordon Russell (New Zealand). All meticulously manage their vineyards and winemaking processes to capture the true terroir expression in their wines. We are also flattered to see our wine selected by some of the countries finest wine managers and sommeliers. They recognise not only the high quality and sound value, but the marvellous unique taste sensations.

If you are in the trade (e.g. work for a restaurant or wine retailer, consult to the wine industry or write about wine) then you may obtain a password to reveal pricing and more in-depth information about each of the wines. Applying for a password only takes a minute. Simply click on ‘Trade Access’ and complete some basic information. If you are indeed in the trade, you will normally receive a password within 24 hours. Then login with your password and begin using this site as an even more useful tool.

HOW WE SELECT OUR ITALIAN WINES
We use a multi-tier filtering process to identify truly special wines from various regions across Italy.  Firstly, Rob Zalums (Director Global Fine Wines) goes to the vineyards to understand the producers and taste the wines on offer.  We seek out not only good wines, but long term relationships.  Nicholas Belfrage, MW and respected author of Italian books is consulted in most cases.  Locally, we involve guru David Ridge and conduct further tastings.  You could say we select the ‘best of the best’ in each price, style and region category.  We then import using refrigerated containers to preserve the original quality all the way to Australia.
