The Sidewood vineyard is privately owned by Owen and Cassandra Inglis with Natasha Mooney now their brilliant winemaker.  She has transformed practices in the winery and in their vineyard.  All Sidewood Estate wines are made from handpicked grapes.  The latest releases are a significant step up – no doubt due to the hiring of Natasha.  Her 26 years experience includes winemaking in Australia, US and Europe.  Initially specialising in Chardonnay, she has mastered a wide range of styles – including the now famous E&E Black Pepper Shiraz.  All Sidewood wines offer elegance and vibrancy.  Fresh, clean, balanced to perfection, and very more-ish.  Ideal with food.  Check the pricing - outstanding value.

Sidewood Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2009 - Adelaide Hills
Lime, passionfruit with a mineral finesse.  Beautifully balanced with a clean, long refreshing finish.  A typically fine Adelaide Hills savvy.
Sidewood Estate Chardonnay 2009 - Adelaide Hills

Medium straw colour leads to a nose of white peach and apricot with nutmeg and spice.  The palate is nounded and full fruited, again peachy flavours from the cool climate vineyards and a complexity of honey and nutmeg. This wine contains three clones of Chardonnay which gives the wine real complexity.  Halliday Dec 2009: An aromatic bouquet leads into an energetic palate, with flavours of white peach and grapefruit sustained by crisp acidity on the long finish. Sidewood Estate Pinot Gris 2009 - Adelaide Hills

Medium straw colour.  Aroma is Floral, orange blossom with a characteristic talc character that is often seen in Pinot Gris.  The palate offers lychee and guava fruit, sweetness with an acid line.  It has length and a real mineral, earthy character straight from the cool climate Sidewood vineyard.  Halliday 91pts.
Sidewood Estate Shiraz 2007 - Adelaide Hills

Med red with vivid red hue.  Cinnamon and 5 spice with rich plum fruit aromas.  The 2007 vintage produced very small crops which gives way to an intense but elegant wine. This Shiraz exhibits amazing mid palate red fruit flavours with a great line and elegance. This wine will drink superbly for the next few years.
