Magestic Barolo cellared perfectly in controlled temperature and humidity conditions.
Sister and brother Paola and Marco Oberto took over management of this wonderful property in the heart of La Morra in 1990 and began to make their own wines after their dad Luigi had been selling the grapes to others for decades.
These are classic La Morra’s made from meticulously cared for old vines. Grapes are picked in small baskets to preserve quality. The Dolcetto, Barbera and the Nebbiolos are layered and intriguing, and exhibit the commune’s characteristic rich and silky generosity.
Most recently, their two 2007 Barolo wines have taken out major accolades. Top 2007 Barolo with Decanter Magazine Nov 2011, and one of the highest scoring 2007 Barolo from Wine Spectator Magazine Oct 2012. They are the flagship wines that reflect the quality and value across their entire range.
