Kiritea Pinot Noir 2012
AVAILABLE IN 750ML BOTTLES
What a stunning 2nd label of Te Hera! A fabulous wine for its bold fruit, silky textures, savoury complexity and clean acid finish. A true food wine. 'Kiritea' is Maori for fair weather. The 2012 follows a string of excellent vintages.
It has the aromas and flavours of red berries, violets, spice and a hint of smoky oak. The palate is delicate and elegant with savoury complexity, crisp acidity and soft tannins.

>> "From fruit grown out on Te Muna Road, this has a wealth of dark fruits and saffron, mocha and chocolate. Quite an exotic-smelling pinot here and quite lifted. The palate is sturdy, the tannins are drying, and flavors of earth, chocolate and dark cherries pervade the boldly drying, cocoa powder finish. Drink in 2016."

>> "From Te Hera Estate, the 2010 vintage (*****) is bargain-priced. Poised and youthful, it is weighty, finely textured and deeply coloured, with vibrant, concentrated flavours of cherries, herbs and spices, showing good complexity and lovely density."
