After 7 years, the Wine tasting Panel of Peter Bourne, Nick Bulleid MW, Andrew Caillard MW, Peter Forrestal, Huon Hooke and Sophie Otton - revisited the status of Merlot. They were most impressed with the improvements. We are pleased to see the Esk Valley, 2005 Reserve Merlot Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon, Hawkes Bay, rated as one of the best of 79 Merlot and Merlot blends selected from Australia, France and New Zealand for tasting.
