Moscato D'Asti 2014 DOCG
One of the great delights in life is to enjoy a few glasses of the real Moscato from Northern Italy. At 5.5% Alc, you can. This is like drinking exploding fresh Moscato Blanco grapes. Each is perfectly ripened and fruit sweet with acid to balance so you will want another glass.
This Moscato is an aromatic grape and the very first to be harvested in the Hilly Pelissero vineyards in Treiso, Barbaresco. After hand picking the grapes in 20 kilo baskets, it is de-stemmed, crushed and pressed at low temperatures. This procedure is done very quickly so that the beautiful aromatics are preserved. On the first night, a natural cold decanting is made and then filtered. Next step is the formation of effervescence under pressure in a steel cask as sugar is transformed to alcohol up to 5.5%. The process ends with under pressure bottling.
The aromatic wine of the most renowned, beautiful yellow-green colour with characteristics of gold reflections and a persistent frame of fine bubbles. The typical aromas are those of white flowers of acacia, passion fruit, honey with the undergrowth mineral notes of salvia, thyme and mint typical of our soils. To the taste, it is remarkable with a precise acid note to balance the freshly crushed grape sweetness resulting from perfectly ripened grapes.
