The 2014 growing season was excellent. They had great weather through flowering and fruit set followed by a long ripening period. Fruit ripened slightly earlier than usual. Spring was humid and settled and the summer hot with high growing degree days. Rainfall occurred at the right times. These conditions produced fruit with lots of flavour and good ripeness.

>> "Charming and comforting; this is a gorgeous gewurz showing perfumed aromas of tropical fruit, Turkish Delight, floral and spice on the nose. The palate is equally delightful with rounded mouthfeel and lovely fruit richness, finishing long and silky. It’s off-dry with a beautiful fine finish. At its best: now to 2020."

>> "Spicy and exotic with medium and intensity; white fleshed fruits, ginger and a touch of baked pineapple lure me in; floral too. On the palate - lightly creamy texture with intense and spicy fruit flavors; a hint of ginger again and suggestions of orange and citrus peel; medium+ acidity, lightly floral, balanced and well made."
