2013 Kiritea Pinot Noir
What a stunning 2nd label of Te Hera! A fabulous wine for its bold fruit, silky textures, savoury complexity and clean acid finish. A true food wine. 'Kiritea' is Maori for fair weather. The 2012 follows a string of excellent vintages.

Varietal: Pinot Noir
Aromas: Unmistakably Pinot with dark cherry and berry fruit. There are nice touches of violet and spice in the mix as well.
Palate: It has fine and elegant mouth feel. There are layers of flavor here with a touch of lovely fruit in the berry and cherry spectrum. It has a savory complexity and soft tannins that support the sweet fruit to give richness in the mid pallet.

Vinification: De-stemmed without crushing, using gravity. Wild yeast fermentation. 11 months old French oak barrels.
