Fougeray de Beauclair Cotes de Nuits-Villages 2012 Burgundy, France An exceptional “Villages” Pinot harvested from a small 1.17ha plot surrounded by a number of prestigious vineyards. The vines are over 33 years old (planted 1968) in the northern part of Cote de Nuits surrounded by prestigious vineyards: "Clos de la Perrière". It is a Fixin "Premier Cru" to the West, the Fixin appellation to the East and the start of the "Gevrey-Chambertin" slopes to the South. It is a good company indeed. Varietal: Pinot Noir Aroma: Has a captivating cherry, black fruits and spice aroma. Palate: The medium weight palate has excellent volume revealing layers of complexity, red and black fruits backed by bright fresh acidity and savoury notes that dance on the palate. It has a very long clean finish. It is a brilliant food wine. Bottle Closure: Cork Vinification: Oak barrel aging for 12 months.
