Pelissero
Nubiola Barbaresco DOCG
2011
Treiso (Piemonte), Italy

It is the last born of our Barbaresco wines. The first bottles that date back to 2001. It belongs to a historical, traditional and cultural important denomination and it has got all the strength and complexity a great vine is able to express.

Varietal: Nebbiolo

Aroma:
It has both fruity and floreal notes that go from
the ripe red fruit to the officinal herbs.

Palate: It is soft, tasty and velvety at the same time that leaves on the taste buds.  It has a note of sweetness and roundness typical of ripe grape with a slightly dry and astringent closure that distinguishes the Nebbiolo.

Bottle Closure: Cork

Suggested Cellaring: 8 Years

Vinification: It is made in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature and automatically programmed mixing of the wine dregs and then aged in wood dosing small barriques and big 50 hl oak cask in variable proportion according to the vintage.  It always features with the intent to exalt the Nebbiolo’ s variety’s characteristics.

Alcohol: 14%

Reviews:
>> 2 Red Glasses - Gambero Rosso
>> “The 2009 Barbaresco Nubiola blossoms on the palate with juicy dark cherries, flowers and spices, all of which come together in a voluptuous style that is highly appealing. Layers of dark, spice-infused fruit swirl around in the glass all the way through to the huge, voluptuous finish. This plush, layered Barbaresco is inviting and offers pure sophistication from the very first taste. Pelissero aged the Nubiola in a blend of cask and barrique. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024.”
