Ripasso 'Ca del Laito' 2010
Bussola’s vineyards on the slopes around Negrar are in the heart of Valpolicella’s Classico zone, the epicentre of Valpolicella.
The process of ripasso adds more elements to a newly fermented and racked Valpolicella when it is run over the lees/skins of last year's Amarone and with a brief refermentation comes the infusing of some of Amarones richly herbal, chocolate, raisins and dried cherry characters into the round and juicy maraschino cherry fruit of the Valpolicella. This combo is fantastic.
Tommaso Bussallo continually produces Valpolicella that ranks at the top by Italys fine wine guide, Gamberro Rosso. Aged in 700-litre second passage tonneaux of Styrian oak.
